Silos and Storage Tanks – Bulk Material Storage

Silos and storage hoppers are used to store bulk materials such as powders and granulates (e.g., cement, lime, fly ash, sand, sorbents, and others). They are designed to withstand long-term outdoor operation and to allow easy filling and emptying of the stored material.

Silo structures typically consist of steel cylindrical sections with a conical bottom and a supporting frame that ensures stability even in areas with increased wind or snow loads. Filling is most commonly carried out by a pneumatic conveyor through a fill pipe, with provisions for installing a filtration unit to capture dust particles generated during filling.

Operational safety is ensured by components such as overpressure/underpressure relief valves, level measurement of the material, and fluidization systems to facilitate discharge. For operation and maintenance, silos can be equipped with ladders with safety cages, walkways, and guardrails.

We also supply complete storage systems as part of the overall technology—including connections to dosing stations, conveyors, and, where applicable, associated filtration equipment. This ensures a fully functional setup from material storage to its conveying and use in the technological process.

Smaller-volume hoppers can be adapted for indoor operations or integrated into production lines, including variants with the option to connect to conveying and dosing systems.
