They are ideal for recovering heat from flue gases and process media, available in both flue gas–to–water (for heating or process water) and flue gas–to–air (for combustion-air preheating) configurations. Principle and Applications of Economisers
In a economiser, the hot medium flows inside the tubes and transfers heat to the medium on the shell side. Thanks to its modular design, we can optimize flow velocities, temperature gradients, and pressure losses for each specific application.
Typical applications:
- Flue gas / water – heating of space or process water, integration with buffer tanks
- Flue gas / air – preheating of combustion air to improve combustion efficiency
- Process media – oil, heat-transfer fluids, wastewater with integrated heat exchanger and impurity separation
- Dusty operation – increased resistance to fouling, cleaning/inspection covers, optional regeneration system
Tubular heat exchangers are integrated into industrial heat recovery systems and supplied either as part of a complete industrial heat-exchanger solution or as an add-on to flue-gas recuperators.
